Christel Bodenbender, MA, CertAT, ITIL Certified, CYA-500RYT
Program Facilitator
After growing up in Germany, Christel graduated from the University of Victoria, Canada, with a B.Sc. in Geography and M.A. in Linguistics. Dealing with life struggles during her university studies, she realized that digital art making was her personal therapy, which enticed her to obtain a Post-Master’s Certificate in Art Therapy at the B.C. School of Art Therapy in Victoria.
Following her M.A., Christel began to work in the field of IT support at the University of Victoria and later at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver. She also started to write and is now a published author, focusing on speculative fiction with a cosmic, spiritual touch. Recently, she deepened her love for yoga with two trips to Rishikesh, India, to get 500 hours of yoga teacher training that enriches her life and complements her art therapy training. Driven by her desire to help others and her interest in digital technology, her art therapy practice can be found online.
From 2017 to 2021 she was honored to serve as the President of the Proulx Education and Community Foundation, which oversees the business of CiiAT.
