Nicola Shaw, PG Clinical Art Therapy, PGCE Art and Design, BA Photography

For the past 20 years, Nicola Shaw has had a desire to have a career within the field of art therapy. After gaining a BA in Photography and then teaching art and photography for twelve years in high school settings, the calling to qualify as an art therapist rung loudly once again. She believes that teaching is fantastic and it is also aligns to rubric and assessment models of performance and achievement.

As an art therapist, Nicola values journeying alongside her clients in individual or group settings, and watching the transition and transformation in seeing clients ultimately help themselves through gaining clarity and confidence. Her recent research and dedication is within the new and evolving field of eco-art psychotherapy.
