Prior to life at CiiAT, Melissa Yue worked as an ESL instructor for six years in various ESL schools in Canada, including one that she co-founded. She has a BA in Applied Linguistics from the University of Victoria and has always had a passion for learning about other cultures and connecting people through their similarities.
Melissa joined CiiAT because she has always had a deep interest in art, teaching, and the human experience. She wants to help CiiAT reach its full potential as a school. As an introvert at heart, she’s enamoured with the idea of art therapy being an alternative to conventional talk therapy.
In her spare time, Melissa enjoys writing, cooking meals large enough to feed a family of 8, and trying to prevent her dog from eating lost mittens.
