Whether it be through photography and videography, writing poetry, or attempting to do a still life of one of her many plants, Katrianna has always seen art as a cathartic medium for gaining a further understanding of oneself and others around her. Having worked in the Vancouver film industry intermittently over the course of her university career, Katrianna has remained a strong advocate of the arts. After moving to Victoria in 2019, Katrianna decided to shift into a different role entirely, becoming a support worker. There, she observed her client’s beneficial experience from their involvement in therapeutic workshops, piquing her interest in the therapeutic arts. Upon later acquiring training in administration and social media through her work at a Canadian film union, and subsequently the University of Victoria, Katrianna is excited to be a contributing member of CiiAT here in the beautiful city of Victoria, and the incredible facets of artistic exploration it provides.
