Description
The Clinical Art Therapy Diploma Program prepares students for a professional career in art therapy. The CATD Program is offered online and in-person at our sister schools in Thailand and Japan. All courses are taught in English, with translators available in countries where English is not the primary language.
Throughout the coursework, practicum, and supervision, we explore a range of theoretical orientations that reflect the differing views of practicing art therapists. Students are encouraged to investigate the uses and potentials of different theories when working with a variety of client populations, their therapeutic goals, and the student’s own preferred therapeutic style.
Students are not expected to adhere to a particular theoretical model, but are encouraged to become familiar with a variety of models. Practicum sites are available to students in their community of choice. We encourage the practice of techniques and facilitation of a growing art therapist identity.
A total of 21 units is required for graduation.
