Description

The Clinical Art Therapy Diploma Program for students who hold an MA is offered online, and in-person in Thailand and Japan.  All courses are taught in English, with translators available in countries where English is not the primary language. Throughout the coursework, practicum and supervision, we explore a range of theoretical orientations that reflect the differing views of practicing art therapists. Students are encouraged to investigate the uses and potentials of different theories when working with a variety of client populations, their therapeutic goals, and the student’s own preferred therapeutic style. Students are not expected to adhere to a particular theoretical model but, instead, are encouraged to become familiar with a variety of models. Practicum grounds students in their community of choice. It encourages the practice of techniques and facilitates their growing art therapist identity. A total of 21 units are required for graduation.
